This message is to encourage Mink Lake Property Owners to join our Association and support our volunteer efforts on your behalf.
Your $25.00 annual membership fee and hundreds of volunteer hours, help the Association achieve its goals.
Our Mission
Our primary goal is to preserve and protect our community including the natural environment and the overall quality of life on our lakes. We place a significant amount of emphasis on environmental issues through these distinct approaches: Programs for education, social interaction, lake stewardship, and communication.
Water Testing Program
The quality of our lake water is monitored on a regular basis by the MLPOA. We wouldn’t be able to enjoy our properties without clean and safe lake water. For this one program alone, the annual fees are a great value!
Find out what you need to know about how to reduce your environmental impact
The MLPOA is a reliable source of information on shoreline and septic maintenance, invasive species, waste disposal plus other environmental issues.
Make sure that the money you pay in taxes is put to good use
The Mink Lake Property Owners Association works with key political stakeholders to ensure that our tax dollars are being well spent on matters that are important to us.
Participate in the community's development and growth
Through membership in the Mink Lake Property Owners Association, you can have a say in how our community grows and develops.
Keep up with the latest happenings and news
You will be able to receive news and information from the Facebook groups of the Mink Lake Gazette and Big Mink Lake Stewards. The Big Mink Lake Steward’s Facebook group is exclusively for paid-up association members. We are also active members of the Federation of Cottage Associations (FOCA) and the Hastings Highlands Interlake Association. We frequently post information from these associations on wildlife, fish stocking, wildflowers, education programs, and anything that the executive team feels the MLPOA membership would like to know about. Additionally, you will have access to our new website and receive periodic updates by email from the executive team.
Establish connections with your community
Members of the executive team are available to meet with you in person or by video conference to discuss any issues or concerns you may have. To schedule an appointment with an executive member we can be reached by email at minklakepoa@gmail.com.
Taking Care of the Unexpected
With the Mink Lake Property Owners Association, the infrastructure is already in place to deal with unexpected and unforeseen events. We offer a unified approach to the 136 cottage, home, and property owners on Big Mink Lake.
